Tonight, a nice crowd including elected officials, State Senator Jeff Klein and Assemblyman Jeff Dinowitz; Community Board 8 members, business owners, organization heads, and other grantors, donors and supporters of KRVC gathered at Sotheby's International Realty to celebrate the official launch of KRVC's new website, the release of our new magazine and the coincidental distribution-on-the-same-day of the Daily News Shop Riverdale section. The crowd was first treated to live music performed by guitarist Steve Oates. Then, they mingled and enjoyed food and wine courtesy of Sotheby's, Salvatore's of Soho, Corner Cafe, Lloyd's Carrot Cake and Skyview Wines & Spirits. Then, after Ellen Feld of Sotheby's welcomed the crowd, Tracy Shelton did a presentation about KRVC as she released the magazine and launched the website. The crowd was also addressed by the elected officials and by Andrew Cohen, former CB 8 board member and strong supporter of KRVC. It was the first public presentation KRVC has held in recent years and it was well received. There is another presentation and public meeting scheduled for November 18th.
