At today's Johnson Avenue Block Festival, KRVC was presented with a Proclamation from City Council member Andrew Cohen. All the local elected officials attended the event and made speeches from the stage. Congressman Eliot Engel, State Senator Jeff Klein and Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz all congratulated KRVC on a fabulous event and spoke of all the great accomplishments of the organization. The last speaker was Council member Cohen, who gave the award to Tracy McCabe Shelton, KRVC's Executive Director. The Proclamation lists many of the events and initiatives of KRVC.The Councilman said he had planned to present the award to KRVC at the movie night, which was scheduled for September 6th in Vinmont Park. However, that event was canceled due to an inclement weather forecast.
