The Daily News published a special section in today's paper featuring RIVERDALE! KRVC's Executive Director wrote this introduction for the community portion of this special publication for our community:
If I were limited to two words to describe Riverdale, then they would easily be: Natural Beauty. Whether you are on the grounds of Wave Hill, the Hebrew Home or the College of Mount Saint Vincent or jogging down Palisade Avenue or skating or hiking in Van Cortlandt Park, you are treated to breathtaking views and gorgeous surroundings. Riverdalians are busy people who sometimes forget to appreciate our unique community. I am grateful for the role I played in collecting the information and photographs for this publication. It made me take a few minutes to focus on all our community has to offer. Beyond its natural beauty, our community is loaded with amazing people including caring and responsive elected officials, dedicated community leaders, helpful service providers and friendly business owners. Living and working in Riverdale is a great pleasure for me. I hope I have the opportunity to continue to serve our fine community for many years to come. I also hope that everyone enjoys this special Daily News publication all about our beautiful neighborhood of Riverdale.
