It was so much fun to have The John Webber Quartet at our Club night. It's the first time we've had a full band and it was really wonderful. Ilya Lushtak, the vocalist, gave us a beautiful set of standards. John, our band leader, an accomplished jazz bass player, brought out his guitar for this evening and he was backed up by SUNY Purchase student Jason Clotter on bass, and newcomer Yuriana Sobrino on drums. They were such an enormously talented group at one point they all switched instruments, Ilya played drums, Yuriana sang, and John went back to his bass. Then John sang a tune and Ilya sat in on guitar. The mood was infectious. Check out the video below.
