Paintings of Orhan Alpaslan featuring images of New York

Gallery 18 at the Riverdale YM-YWHA is pleased to present the paintings of Orhan Alpaslan featuring images of New York.   Orhan states "All color gives me inspiration. I am looking for the beauties of each subject with all my soul.” Vivid color and powerful light are indispensable components of his work.  The show can be seen for the entire month of April. A reception will be held April 9th between 12:30-2:30.

Orhan Alpaslan studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Istanbul, obtaining a Master’s Degree in stage and visual art.  He also studied and researched painting and theatrical arts in America, Canada and England. He is a member of Riverdale Art Association and the International Association of Art (I.A.A.UNESCO).   Orhan’s paintings have been in a number of juried competitions. A list of these appears on the Riverdale Art Association website. Orhan’s work  most recently has  been seen at the Salmagundi Art Club, and at the Riverdale Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture.
