Adair went on to become a session singer, performing on movie scores. Just to list a few; "Jurassic World", "Rise: Planet of the Apes", "Star Trek: Into the Darkness". Wanting more Adair moved here to NY to capture the magic of Broadway. Every day she gets closer to her goal of reaching “the great white way”. Similarly, The Village Voice picked "Melao" as the best debut by an artist of ‘06. Mela's most recent release has received rave reviews: "Mela's music encompasses everything he has encountered, making the "Tree of Life" a sonic safari through the worldwide wilds of jazz and beyond." AllAboutJazz.com. "Its Tree of Life's compositions and performances that really thrill. At times stoking straight ahead flames, other times seemingly aiming for Mwandishi-like fund and fusion." DownBeat. McCoy Tyner: “Mela is just a fantastic player. He has his own style and his own sound, which is what I look for in a drummer.”
