Aija Sears - fine artist

The grandest art is found outdoors in nature. This ever-changing miracle is inspirational. I find the most pleasure in meandering, observing, and then using the shapes, rhythms and curves to inspire my work. I’m trained as a botanical illustrator, but am exploring digitally scanned images of natural objects which are not only art by themselves, but a starting point for lines and forms inspired by their organic forms. Plants play such an important role in our lives. They provide the air we breathe, shelter material, sustain us nutritionally, beautify our world and make our soul sing.
